China: Provenance is king on JD.com

According to Cankao News, ‘landmark’ agricultural products (i.e. those associated with a particular geographic area), are the fastest growing food segment on JD.com, proving the attractiveness of a strong provenance story.

 

‘The average annual growth rate of landmark fresh agricultural products was 41%, 7 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of fresh agricultural products.’
